Was a Senior Author of a recent study that looked at the exposure of organophosphate pesticides and the risk level that it had on children for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Pesticides Linked to ADHD in Children?

Pesticides have been linked to a higher risk of ADHD in children.

Other studies have targeted certain demographics, like inner cities, where a lot of pesticides have been used. However, this study focused on a broader spectrum of people and circumstances across the U.S.

Pesticides, by design, affect the central nervous system of insects. Could this have an effect on the nervous system of our children? The study reports that children who are exposed to high levels of organophosphate pesticides could have a higher risk of being diagnosed with ADHD.

This is certainly something to look into and follow up on.

If you are concerned, it is recommended that you purchase organic produce and wash all fruits and vegetables thoroughly.
