The statistical math provided by the Cancer Institutes presents some of the harsh truths about this terrible disease. Statistics in the US show that prostate cancer has the leading 238,590 estimated new cases in 2013, causing estimated deaths of 29,720.
We Do Not Want to Know
Unfortunately, second place is worse with breast cancer at 232,340 estimated new cases in 2013, causing estimated deaths of 39,620. Breast cancer has just under 10,000 more deaths per year.
The statistics are broken down by age and racial profile. The risk of being diagnosed with cancer in 10, 20, and 30 years. The scariest of all the cancer statistics is the risk of death from cancer.
